A conference in China was scheduled for 2009 in cooperation with the Chinese Institute of Metals. All provisions had been made and the organization was prepared in detail.
Due to the financial crisis, which became noticeable in the European steel industry, economical saving measures were initiated in many companies. Because a conference in China would take at least one week including the flights, the lectures and the work visits resulting in higher cost expenditures, the AIKW conference in 2009 was organized in Spain.
A conference in China shall take place within the next years depending on the further economical development. |
